Omphalos is used only by its owner, Ron Merriam, with the Google account omphalosserverplex@gmail.com. It requests the Google Drive drive.file permission, which means it can only access files that it creates in the owner's own Google Drive and cannot see any other files.
All backup data is encrypted on the owner's server before it is uploaded. Omphalos does not collect data from anyone else, and no data is shared with, sold to or transferred to any third party.
